Users and Accounts management

In order to use our SDLabs platform, you must have a valid User who belongs to a valid Account.

Definitions

User

A User represents a personal access to our platform. It refers to an e-mail address that must be unique on our platform, and is accessible via an e-mail/password combination that shall never be shared.

Once registered, a User may belong to one or several Accounts. All Users of an Account have the same permissions within that Account (to create, delete and edit items on SDLabs).

Account

An Account is a contractual customer that will gather one or more Users, all sharing the same data and permissions within that Account. All platform restrictions (amount of simultaneously running campaigns, private optimizers or features, hours of dedicated support, etc.) are managed at the Account level. For instance, if an Account may run 10 campaigns simultaneously, no User in that Account may start a new campaign, regardless of who ran them.

All Accounts must have at least one trusted point of contact, who will give Atinary the permission to perform administration activities on the Account, such as the procedures described below.

Note

Please note that one "Account" is linked to only one "Group" (and vice-versa) on the SDLabs platform. Therefore, both terms may be used interchangeably.

Procedures

How do I join an existing account?
  • An Account's point of contact must send us a request (e.g. via e-mail) to add a new User.
  • The only necessary pieces of data are: the User's e-mail address, and the Account to which the User must be added.
  • The User will be added to the Account if contractual criteria are met (e.g. amount of seats allowed).
  • An e-mail will be sent to the User's address with a link and a one-time password that has to be changed upon first login.
  • Additionally, upon login, we strongly advise to activate MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication).
How do I reset my password?
  • The login page contains a "Reset password" that lets any User reset their password.
  • The only necessary piece of data is the User's e-mail address.
  • An e-mail will be sent to the User's address with a link and the steps to follow to set up a new password.
  • Additionally, upon login, we strongly advise to activate MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication).
How do I reset my MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication)?

As of today, you cannot reset the MFA device yourself. However, as long as you are logged in, you may disable it in your User profile (top-right menu).

Please note that we strongly advise against disabling MFA! This is a significant layer of security that helps protect your data. If necessary (e.g. if you are logged out of SDLabs and have lost your MFA device), then you may reset MFA without being logged in as follows:

  • An Account's point of contact must send us a request (e.g. via e-mail) to temporarily disable the User's MFA.
  • The necessary piece of data is the User's e-mail address.
  • After thorough review of the request and confirmation from both the User and the Account point of contact, we will disable the User's MFA.
  • An e-mail will be sent to the User's address.
  • Upon next successful login, we strongly advise to reactivate MFA.
How do I delete a User?

As of today, you cannot delete a User by yourself. However, if necessary, it may be performed as follows:

  • An Account's point of contact must send us a request (e.g. via e-mail) to delete or disable a User.
  • As a first step, the User will be temporarily disabled, logged out, and removed from the Account.
  • Thus, the User will no longer have access to the platform, but all the data this User created will still be available to the Account.

Disabling the User as described here means that the same e-mail address cannot be reused to create a new User on our platform. If necessary, this User can simply be reactivated and re-added to the Account.

How do I delete all the data from my Account?

As of today, you can delete your Account's data in the SDLabs platform individually (charts, campaigns, workstations, etc.).

Please note that this action cannot be undone; any piece of data that is deleted from our platform is lost! However, if necessary, all of an Account's data may be deleted by Atinary as follows:

  • An Account's point of contact must send us a request (e.g. via e-mail) to delete the whole Account.
  • We strongly advise you to export all the relevant datasets, campaign results, charts and reports before they are deleted!
  • After thorough review of the request and confirmation from the Account point of contact, we will disable the Account and make sure that no campaign is running.
  • Then, in order to respect confidentiality, we will delete all the Account items and the Account itself.
